The annual Holiday Basket program is officially underway for 2016! Supported by the Sun Valley Board of Realtors Community Foundation since 2003, the Holiday Basket program is seeking new, unwrapped toys for over 900 children in the community. 

Unfortunately, the annual Motorcycle Toy Run, which has donated toys to the program for more than 20 years, was canceled this year. Therefore, this year's toy supply is at an all time low! In order to supplement that loss, the foundation has set up a toy drive this week. Toys collected in your offices can be dropped off on Friday, December 2nd at two different locations. The Sun Valley Visitor Center/Starbuck's and the Hailey Chamber of Commerce will be accepting all donated toys from 9am to 5pm. Toys will also

If you have been coming to the Sun Valley area for a while, or if you make it your full time residence, surely you know flying in and out during the winter months can be a challenge. Luckily, some technological advancements are aiming to cut down diversions.

Earlier this year, the Federal Aviation Administration lowered the ceiling for cloud cover to allow planes to land at a lower altitude. During previous years if cloud cover sat below 1,800 feet, planes could not land. As of July 21st, that ceiling was lowered to only 900 feet.
